Bagging Machine Operator (BMO)

Position Summary

4WardWA Development West Africa (4WardWA) provides high-quality water services through kiosks, Pump Insurance (PiN), household and business connections, and packaged water services for wholesale, retail, and individual consumption.

Bagging Machine Operator is required for the daily operation of bagging machine and the packaging of all finished products according to the organization’s standards. Ensures all products are bagged according to implemented standards to minimize waste and ensures regular maintenance is completed for bagging water machine. He/she will work independently or in a team, collaborating with others and following instructions from the Facility Maintenance Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhering to the safety regulations and protocols implemented in the packaging area.

  • Complete all relevant documentation on the bagged water bags before going to the storehouse.

  • Carrying out regular production and packaging of sachet water. ▪ Test the machine before work begins to ensure the machine is in good condition for production.

  • Monitor machine closely to detect any signs of malfunctioning that may affect the quality of work and resolve or report it immediately to avoid breakdown.

  • Clean up machine parts after every workday.

  • Perform routine checks to ensure that the machine is at its optimum capacity.

  • Ability to read and understand machine manuals. ▪ Ensuring the correct sachet bag is used and that bagging is done in line with the company standards.

  • Any other duties assigned, or support needed by the supervisor.

  • Available to resume work very early in the mornings and plus weekends, as needed.

  • Ability to read and understand machine manuals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification of West African Senior School Certification (WASSCE) or SSCE.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in operating a Sachet Water Machine

  • Ability to work well as a team member or independently.

  • Effectively communicate in English and local dialects (Twi and Fante)

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment: Office Environment; Must live in communities within Wassa East and KEEA.

  • Physical Demands: Standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day in an area with moderate noise and temperature levels.

  • Travel Requirements: No travel is required.
