Human Resources and Administrative Officer
Position Summary

We are seeking a talented HR & Admin Officer (HRAO) superstar to join our team and support our regional operations to make an impactful difference. As an HRAO, you will play a crucial role in managing human resources functions across the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth administrative operations, and fostering a positive work environment in 4Ward Development West Africa.
4Ward Development is a well-established safe water enterprise (SWE) with business subsidiaries in Ghana and Uganda that provide safe water services at District Wide Scale.
4Ward Development West Africa (4WardWA) has current operations in Wassa East, Ghana, where they have provided the entire district with access to safe water in partnership with Water4, The Dutch Government (RVO), Hilton Foundation, Wassa East District Assembly, and many other partners. 4WardWA is scaling up its operations in Upper West and Savanna Regions in 2022 in partnership Water4, Helmsley Trust Foundation and Global Communities, with more partners to come as part of their strategy to provide three districts in these regions with safe water services
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the hiring process by posting job openings, conducting screening calls, scheduling interviews, and processing hiring decisions. Lead the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles.
Learning & Development: undertake training needs assessment and provide employees with the skills and knowledge they need to grow in their roles while helping grow the company as well.
Policy Development and Implementation: Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and implement company policies, ensuring compliance and maintaining a positive work culture.
Employee Relations: Respond to employee inquiries, providing guidance and support regarding benefits, challenges, or issues they may face. Ensure confidentiality and effectively communicate concerns to the National HR Manager and Regional Director.
Contracts and Reviews: Ensure employee contracts are valid, active, and renewed annually. Coordinate and digitize quarterly employee reviews, ensuring timely completion by supervisors and submission to the Regional Director.
Administrative Support: Manage the company calendar and schedule, organize meetings with strategic partners, and maintain office equipment and supplies. Greet visitors, answer phone inquiries, and handle complaints in a professional manner.
Reporting and Documentation: Consolidate company information and support the Regional Director in completing monthly reports. Maintain physical and digital personnel records, updating internal databases with new hire information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years experience as an HR & Admin Officer or in a similar role.
Proven track record in sourcing, recruiting, and closing extraordinary talent.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Familiarity with HRIS and spreadsheet software.
Basic knowledge of labour legislation.
Excellent leadership and coaching abilities.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
Positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other online platforms.
Results-driven mindset with the ability to think and act quickly.
Working Conditions:
Work Environment: Office - Field Office Environment; must already be living in Daboase, Takoradi or it environs or be willing to relocate.
Minimal travel is required.
